OUR STORY

With over three decades of combined experience working with dogs, we are two friends whose shared love for animals has grown into a passion and a commitment to raising exceptional Goldendoodles. What began as a dream became a reality in 2022 when we officially started this journey together—and we look forward to many more years of doing what we love.

Because we deeply value our own family pets, we invest a great deal into our puppies during the early stages of their lives. We raise all of our puppies in our homes, so we can ensure that our Michigan Goldendoodle puppies are surrounded by love, receive regular gentle handling, and experience positive daily routines. We invest significant time in early socialization and foundational training to help each puppy develop confidence, good manners, and a strong start in life. Our dedication ensures that our puppies are ready for continued training to grow into wonderful family companions and exceptional therapy dogs; ready to bring joy and comfort wherever they go.

It’s no secret that Brandie loves animals—anyone who knows her knows this well. Dogs have held a special place in her heart for as long as she can remember. No matter where she is, you’ll likely find her giving attention to the family dog. That instinct has been with her since childhood and overflows into the care of our Mi-Goldendoodles puppies.

Brandie’s background spans kennel care, bathing and grooming, training, and rescue—pretty much every area of the dog world. She’s also skilled in social media and online marketing, which means that when you message Michigan Goldendoodles, there’s a good chance you’re chatting with her about your future perfect little doodle.

In 2010, Brandie welcomed her son, Christian, into the world. He later developed seizures and was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Christian is one of the biggest inspirations behind the mission of Mi-Goldendoodles. Brandie’s heart is especially tender toward individuals and families navigating ASD or other disabilities, and she has big dreams for how Mi-Goldendoodles can support and contribute to the ASD community in the years ahead.

Christian, now almost 16, received his service dog Rigel at age 8. Rigel—a stunning golden retriever—is featured often in our photos and training videos. He plays a special role in helping raise each litter, offering a steady, calming presence that the puppies naturally follow and learn from.

As Rigel’s handler for the past nine years, Brandie has gained a wealth of hands-on experience that directly influences her approach to training each puppy in our GOOD PUPPY PROGRAM. Her compassion, skill, and lifelong devotion to animals are at the heart of everything she does.

Jaycie’s passion for animals started young. When she was nine, she brought home her first dog, Denali, a sweet Newfypoo. Her parents supported her by establishing their home as a guardian-home for Denali. That experience opened the door to the world of dog breeding. Although Denali is now retired, Jaycie’s experience working with Denali’s seasoned breeder allowed Jaycie to gain the confidence and foundation that she needed. We’re forever grateful for that invaluable guidance.

As the oldest of seven, Jaycie grew up in a big, loving family, and many of our junior helpers are her siblings. She’s wonderful at guiding the junior team and keeping everything running smoothly. She takes the lead in labor, delivery, and early-life care, making sure each puppy is healthy, comfortable, and thriving. She also begins the crucial early desensitization process: getting them used to being brushed, new sounds, and of course letting the kids gently hold & love on them.

Every Mi-Goldendoodle puppy receives complimentary basic obedience training. We also introduce the crate training process, and begin the leash walking journey. Jaycie’s work in these areas is vital to launching our puppies well. She spends time gently nurturing them, helping them explore new things, and making sure each puppy feels safe, supported and ready to join their new family. Because of this foundational work, we receive regular feedback from new puppy families to express that they are impressed with their brand new puppy.

Jaycie possesses the natural ability to understand each puppy’s temperament, and helps in thoughtfully placing them in a home where they will thrive. She puts time into behind-the-scenes office work, preparing for puppy go-home days, and the daily cleaning that comes with raising puppies inside our homes. When we say “raised in our homes,” we mean it.
